racing. Of course we now had the morning tide and a new direction of
wind,quite different to the tide and wind of the previous day.
'Miscreant' had now become 'Biscuit', and what a difference the change
of boat made as she challenged for the lead from the first race. Over-
night it seemed, we had all become more accomplished at racing, and
in reading the wind and tide. Races were more closely contested; in-
deed less than one second separated two boats in one race and four
seconds in another! On the completion of the four races the results for
Day Two were very close. 1

Challenge at the Mark.
The overall results of the Regatta (combining both days) was a clear
win for skipper Sarah Finch and the 'Discovery' crew with the other
three boats extremely closely matched. The really pleasing thing was
that every boat won at least one race:

– 'Discovery' (8 points): Finch,
Jackman, St George.
Runner Up
– 'Pisces' (14 points): M Bridges, Hacking, Bicket.
Third
– 'Miscreant'/'Biscuit' (16 points): R & J Bridges, Cooke.
Fourth
– 'Periscope' (17 points): Collis, Ashley, Johnston .
