us playing on his course during the Durbar in 2015. The format for the
day was a Stableford team event, four 4 Balls, with the best two scores
to count on all holes except Par 3s were all scores counted:
Team 1
. Rosaleen Harrop, Nick Cooke*, Derek Burton, Steve Clifton.
Team 2.
Anita Morley*, Charlie Kemmis Betty, William Shuttlewood,
Ann Burton.
Team 3.
Richard Kemmis Betty, Rambahadur Gurung, Bob Couldrey*.
Team 4.
Mark Pettigrew, Bruce Jackman, Jon Aslett, Willie Bicket.
Team 3 were one player light because James Harrop had to cry off at
late notice due to work commitments, but they made a four by calculat-
ing an average score.
Team 1 were easy victors with a score of 90. Team 4 came second with
81 and only three points separated the remaining two teams. William
Shuttlewood produced the Longest Drive on the 6
th
. Anita Morley won
Nearest the Pin on the 8
th
(Mark Pettigrew was closer but he had al-
ready won a prize), and although William was Nearest the Pin on the
11
th
the prize went to Richard Kemmis Betty for the same reason.
The 'Seve' Prize (in memory of Severiano Ballesteros) was well earned
by Charlie Kemmis Betty who had a terrible round of golf, scoring vir-
tually no points on any hole, until the last five holes where he pro-
duced birdie/par scores and holed the 16
th
(194 yards) in one! This re-
flected some of Seve's typically sporadic but astonishing golf and de-
served the prize.
So ended the Sirmoor Golf season with every game played in glorious
sunshine. We are, as ever, indebted to Richard Kemmis Betty for find-
ing outstanding courses and getting us such good deals.
